My name is Elena Vainores. I’m a winemaker, a sommelier and a person deeply passionate about wine in every sense. For over ten years I worked as a sommelier, studying wine inside and out from its aromas to its origins. After moving to Spain I was finally able to fulfill a lifelong dream: to create my own wine project.
Transatlántica is my way of speaking to people through wine. To me wine is not just a drink, it’s a reflection of terroir, of time, of the land and the person behind it. I believe that wine can make people fall in love when it’s made with care, knowledge and deep respect for tradition.
To have your own vineyards for me is about fulfilling a dream. I accompany and participate in the process of winemaking at every stage – from working the vines to marketing, sales and interaction with clients
Our project is about the search for authenticity in a world where many strive for external achievements. We value the uniqueness of nature, the people we work with, and try to convey this philosophy through our wine.
Finding inspiration in culture of one of the most extraordinary wine regions of Spain, we bring fresh ideas and want to develop our story far beyond the borders of the country in which we are located.
My favorite and most touching part about my wine is the completely manual cycle of its production

Our Wine
Hedonism and Travel
We named our wine Transatlántica because of our passion for traveling, as a transatlantic flight is always about something great and unexplored. Something that foreshadows new discoveries
We believe that traveling expands the boundaries of perception, allows us to see the world differently, and our wine shows a side of Garnacha and Spanish wines that is unfamiliar. It’s light and fresh side.
Transatlántica combines the pride of agricultural traditions and the refined audacity of modern times. Family home comfort, the smell of native lands and heart-warming nostalgia with a bright research character and a thirst for discovery.
Its uniqueness lies in the manual labor and great love put into each bottle, and the universality is that it will adorn any moment of your life.
We work organically, do not use chemical fertilizers, because we want to get an absolutely pure taste that will convey the characteristics of the terroir of the Cebreros region.
Crafted with love to make special moments in your daily routine. This wine will make any occasion you have in mind worth to remember: a beautiful evening with your family, a romantic dinner with your partner, a picnic with breathtaking views, a vacation in nature or other moment you want to capture like very exceptional.
So, our wine is about exploring, traveling and expanding wine horizons!

Region:
What makes our wine so good?
We are located in Cebreros. Cebreros is a unique wine region located among the picturesque mountains of the Sierra de Gredos, in the heart of Spain! This region is known for its wines made from the Garnacha and Albillo Real grape varieties and has a rich history
Grapes:
We harvest grapes from two vineyards at the precise moment when they are in the best condition for harvesting. Thanks to experience, knowledge and a deep love for this region and variety, we intuitively know when the right moment has arrived
Flavour:
Today Cebreros wines are known for their minerality, freshness and special character, making them a true discovery for wine lovers around the world
Technology:
The wine ferments spontaneously with native yeasts and we also add 50% whole bunches to enhance tannin expression. For aging we use large, old barrels, which allow the wine to stabilize and develop without huge influence of oak

We are located in Cebreros, one of the oldest wine regions of Spain. Wine cultivation here dates back to the Roman Empire, and over the centuries, local winemakers have passed down their traditions from generation to generation.
In recent decades, the region has experienced a renaissance thanks to young winemakers who have arrived in the area and are producing wines in a new style.
For us, Transatlántica is not only an authentic stand-alone wine, but also a wonderful and versatile gastronomic accompaniment to dishes. That is why we supply our wine to restaurants that we appreciate and explore ourselves, trying different combinations of flavors and finding the best match
In 2017, the region received official recognition with the DOP Cebreros, highlighting its uniqueness and the high quality of its wines.
We have taken the best of the region's traditions and carefully preserve this heritage. And we want the greatest number of people involved in wine, winemaking, and conscious wine consumption to experience this, to experience that wine made with real love and attention can bring.
As winemakers, we have our own things for creating the perfect wine from the Garnacha variety.
We value the authenticity of the local nature and the terroir where the grapes grow, and we aim to preserve and convey in the wine what the native land gives it, without interfering in the wonderful natural process of wine creation.

FAQ
What you might ask a winemaker over a glass if you weren’t too shy
How can I order the wine?
Fill out the form below and we’ll contact you to confirm. We deliver Transatlántica to EU countries for orders of 6 bottles or more. If you order less than 6 bottles you can pick up the wine at our winery.
What’s the ideal serving temperature for Transatlántica?
Around 14−16 °C. Not room temperature, not chilled — think of it as the climate of a thoughtful evening on a shaded terrace. A little coolness brings out its best character.
Which glass should I use?
A spacious rounded glass works well. Garnacha appreciates a bit of room to breathe. Crystal isn’t necessary, but a touch of elegance never hurts.
Should I let the wine breathe?
Ideally, yes. Open the bottle a little in advance or allow it to settle in the glass. Like a good conversation, it reveals more with time and patience.
Can I add ice if it’s hot outside?
Technically you can do anything. But should you? Garnacha over ice is a bit like poetry with filters — appealing at first, but something essential gets lost.
What food pairs well with Transatlántica?
It’s versatile but particularly fond of roasted meat, grilled vegetables, aged cheese and quiet, unhurried evenings. Think balance rather than boldness.
How long can I cellar the wine?
Five to seven years under proper conditions. Though, in our experience, few bottles make it past the weekend.
What’s so special about this Garnacha?
This is high-altitude Garnacha, grown at 800 meters on granite soils. It’s structured, refined and quietly expressive. No fuss — just character.
How do I know when it’s time to order more?
If you’re reading this, you probably already know the answer.
